Amazing - there is no other words to describe this resort

We recently returned from a 5 night stay the the Mercure Maldives Resort. I am trying to think of some different words that could be said about this amazing resort and the only thing that comes to mind is GO!!!!! Just Go! It is heaven on earth. One suggestion - as the reef is further out then some of the closer in over-water huts, I think for safety, a ladder should be installed at the furthest out point should someone be tired and struggle to swim back in.

Dreamy Stay with Wonderful Staff

When you step foot on premises, you immediately are greeted with smiles. The resort gives a feeling I’ve never felt anywhere else. The staff is amazing, from the food servers to the bar tenders. The dive center is full of experienced and excellent staff. During my stay which was 7 days I enjoyed the staff just as much as I enjoyed the location. They were so full of life, stories and always so concerned on the best interests of the guests. The food was always fresh, and the drinks were crafted with care every single time. I stayed in an over the water sunset villa, which was soo dreamy. The room was cleaned daily to perfection. The lagoon was full of life so snorkeling was a lot of fun. This resort definitely is worth every penny, and the staff is just the icing on the cake. Thank you Mercure, Maldives. You left me full of memories I will share for the rest of my life.

Location is stunning and the customer service and friendly staff make this resort unforgettable. Food was on point , with 3 places to choose from. We had a sunset pool villa , the view is beautiful and your own pool provides great privacy. We had a romantic surf and turf diner on the beach, was delicious. Certainly can recommend this resort for a romantic get away

Mercure Koodoo Resort is a gem amongst the Maldivian Island resorts

With around 50 overwater bungalows and beach retreats, two restaurants, one bar, one main pool and diving centre, it’s small and intimate, but lacks nothing of the larger resorts. From our initial booking, we had timely correspondence from the resort regarding transfers. A little tip, contact resort prior to booking your flights for transfer times, as they are subject to change. On arrival to Male, we were met by the Kooddoo rep who arranged our domestic transfers, took care of our luggage and escorted us to the private lounge. Transfer to Kooddoo is around 1 hour domestic (20kg luggage and 5kg small carry on) where you are warmly welcomed by the Kooddoo team in golf carts with very cold towels and drinks, heaven after a long flight. We had the golf buggy tour of the resort and were dropped off at our Sunset Overwater Bungalow (503), finding our luggage already there. The bungalow was great, a good size for two, featuring large ensuite with shower, outdoor bath with additional shower leading through to the outdoor decking overlooking the Indian ocean and reef. During our stay of 9 nights, housekeeping was exceptional, creating designs on our bed of reeds and flowers and keeping the bungalow as clean every day as when we arrived. The Pool bar was everything you could ever need, the staff were incredible, creating new cocktails for us as most spirits were included in the all-inclusive package. The two restaurants were equally as accommodating, taking allergies into account and presenting the best buffet dining experience we have ever had in one and the al a carte in the other. The food was varied , fresh and delicious and the staff could not have been more helpful. The daily activities could keep you busy all day, if you’re into that, or the snorkelling and cocktails can keep you equally busy at a more relaxed pace. There were baby black tip reef sharks cruising around, many Parrot and Needle fish on the reefs, several Rays cruised through, and we were visited by a curious turtle. On a snorkelling trip we experienced many more turtles and fish on the reef edge and on a dolphin cruise, were lucky enough to be at the centre of a super pod of over two hundred Bottlenose and Spinner dolphin. Bucket list tick, tick. I’d like to give a shout out to Kamal in the bar, Dhasmica in the restaurant, Ahad in housekeeping and Miles at the Dive centre . The resort managers checked in every few days making sure everything was too our liking but every single member of staff in Kooddoo need recognition for their exemplary work. On our last day we were asked by the resort manager what we would change to make our experience better. We honestly couldn’t think of anything. They nailed it! So in summary, great place, great people, great service, incredible wildlife, pampered, relaxed, rejuvenated. Thankyou Kooddoo team!

Amazing resort, fabulous staff

We have just got back from a glorious 2 weeks at this resort. We stayed in an over water bungalow which was perfect for our needs. The snorkelling was brilliant, we went daily and saw sharks, rays, turtles and literally hundreds of fish species. The resort was clean and well kept, towels and toiletries abundant. Our room was tended by Jabad who did awe inspiring towel, bed and bath art. The food was perfect for us, my husband loves Asian food so tried every curry whilst we were there, if that isn’t your taste there are plenty of other options which are all good quality. The chefs take a lot of pride in their work, we also went to the cooking demos to get tips to make them at home. The restaurant and pool bar staff really made the holiday, they are so attentive and friendly. Dharmika is the deputy manager and nothing is too much trouble. There are many to mention - Alisha, Shafi, Hassan, Ibrahim, Pradeep to name a few, but genuinely they are all so helpful and efficient in their roles it made our stay a dream. The managers are very visible and are very keen to receive feedback throughout your stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.
